Use the cities, to find the countries, then use the first letter to make a word

Well really. Turkey was found in 1923, and 1907 it was under the flag of the ottoman empire. Primorsk was 1907 in the German Empire. After 1945 part of USSR and nowadays Russia. Until 1911 Kolkata the capital of British-India and nowadays city of India. Sorry but this gives me many questions.
